Alex
While the slogan of our blog refers to us as “Visionaries,” I scorn quixotism. Wilsonian Idealism does not feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, educate the ignorant, and enrich our country. Rather, it is the breeding ground of partisan rancor. Everyone has their notions of an ideal society, but those who openly advocate for it in the public sphere fail to recognize the virtue of pragmatism.
This is why I advocate a center-right agenda based on the principles of pragmatic, progressive conservatism. These are my fundamental tenets: rigorous debate will never harm this country, only the men who seek to profit off of ignorance; moderate progress should be encouraged, progress for the sake of progress should be scorned; virtue is the most important trait of a politician; compromise is a sign of strength, not weakness; and action always speaks louder than rhetoric.
The 2008 presidential election has opened my eyes. It is essential that the Republican Party reinvigorate itself as an inclusive governing majority, emulating the virtue of Washington, Lincoln, and Teddy.
What’s wrong with “Flavor of Love”? It’s a great show Alex! Just shows how uncultured you are!
Jin Woo is right, Alex: Survey says that all the cool kids are “quite down” with the hippest new show on television. Flavor of Love is an incredible exploration of the human condition, exploring the incredible tension that arises between people who are forced to live under the same roof while competing for the affections of a brilliant, if not eccentric, rap mogul. Alex, at least explore the series before it’s too late. As this season is the last one for Flavor of Love (according to Wikipedia, anyway), I implore you to at least give the series a chance before it leaves Vh1 forever.
Also, if my HTML tags don’t work, my apologies.
